Join us on Monday, May 26 at 10:00 AM at the Village Green in Bar Harbor for a heartfelt Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony as we honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

We’re honored to welcome Dr. Dwyane Tomah as our keynote speaker. Dr. Tomah is a Passamaquoddy Language and Cultural Knowledge Carrier and the youngest fluent speaker of the Passamaquoddy language. His work with the Library of Congress to translate 130-year-old wax cylinder recordings, which are the earliest known field recordings of Indigenous voices, has helped preserve and celebrate Native history, language, and culture. Through his stories, songs, and teachings, Dr. Tomah brings powerful lessons from the past into the present, and we’re grateful to have him join us for this important day.

The ceremony will also include a wreath laying in remembrance of those we have lost.
