Join us for a special BrisLETS Trading Day combined with our 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) – a day to connect trade vote and celebrate our local mutual economy.
Whether you're an active member or just curious about cashless community trading you’re warmly invited to attend.
Bring items or services to trade using our alternative currency ("units") meet like-minded locals and explore ways to live more sustainably and supportively in community.
🌱 What is BrisLETS?
BrisLETS (Brisbane Local Energy Trading System) is a member-run mutual credit network where you can trade goods and services without using traditional money. Think community market meets social support system – everyone has value and everyone can participate.
Our membership details offers wants referrals statements transactions etc are all stored on the CES (Community Exchange System - https://www.community-exchange.org) that allows exchanges (BrisLETS is one exchange) throughout Australia and globally to trade. This means we can build community locally as well as earn and buy country wide and globally.
