"Vstúpenie" do rieky Nitry
14. júna 2025 v Mestskom parku v Prievidzi

Naše vystúpenie bude vstúpením: do rieky i do seba. V tanci pripravenom na mieru tejto udalosti a miestu na brehu rieky, stelesníme nový, rešpektujúci prístup k Vode a k sebe samým.
Spájame sa s celosvetovou iniciatívou Global Water Dances, aby sme spolu s ďalšími ľuďmi, ktorí budú v tento deň tancovať na viac než 100 miestach na planéte zdvihli vlnu záujmu o význam ochrany Vody.
Predstavia sa dospelí tanečníci aj mládež a do spoločného tanca pre vodu sa môže pripojiť aj prítomné publikum.
~ Prečo tancujeme pre rieku Nitru?
Desaťročia sme rieku Nitru menili - regulovali a prekladali sme jej tok, znečisťovali sme ju - a v roku 1965, pri environmentálnej katastrofe, sa do nej vyliali tony toxického odpadu z odkaliska uhoľnej elektrárne na jej hornom toku. Dodnes je najviac znečistenou riekou na Slovensku.
Boli to naše zásahy, neuvedomelosť a zanedbávanie, ktoré viedli až sem - a môže to byť naša pokora, rešpekt a zmena postoja, ktoré môžu vytvoriť priestor pre obnovu rieky a okolitého prostredia.
Príďte s nami roztočiť vír pozitivity, ktorý vyčistí našu vodu, zámery a vzťahy.

Projekt iniciovala Dominika Belanská a realizuje ho v spolupráci s partnermi: Regionálne kultúrne centrum v Prievidzi, Baletná škola La Pointe, OZ Štiavnický tajch. Aktivita sa uskutoční v rámci Hornonitrianskych folklórnych slávností.
Ako sa môžete zapojiť?
~ Príďte na pravidelné tanečné stretnutia, na ktorých sa pripravujeme na naše "vstúpenie" do rieky. KAŽDÚ STREDU od 18.30 v La Pointe (Galéria Jabloň, 3. posch.)
~ Zúčastnite sa tanečnej dielne, na ktorej zažijeme dotyk s riekou a nacvičíme choreografiu. Inšpiráciu pre tvorbu tanca získame priamo z vody :) _ SOBOTA 31. mája od 10-17 hod + SOBOTA 7. júna 14-17 hod (generálka)
~ Pomôžte nám vyčistiť breh rieky od odpadu a pripraviť priestor pre tancovanie _ SOBOTA 7. júna 10-13 hod
~ Príďte k rieke 14. júna a zapojte sa do spoločnej ceremónie pre vodu. (čas upresníme)
Vítaný je každý. Tešíme sa na rozmanitú skupinu účastníkov a účastníčok s rôznymi úrovňami skúseností a v rôznom veku, ktorých prepája záujem o tanec, životné prostredie, vodu a súvisiace témy.

RIEKA V NÁS je iniciatíva všetkých, ktorí si prajú znovu sa spojiť s prúdom života a vyjadriť úctu Vode. Prichádzame na breh, aby sme dovolili svojim telám znovu sa zladiť s našim prirodzeným prostredím. Na základe našich individuálnych zážitkov s riekami, ako aj kolektívnych ceremónií na brehu Dunaja neďaleko Bratislavy, od r. 2020 objavujeme možnosti tvorivej spolupráce s Vodou, prostredníctvom tela a hlasu.

For decades, river Nitra has been (mis)managed, rerouted, regulated and heavily polluted, and in 1965 also impacted by environmental catastrophy related to mining industry. Although there was much improvement since, Nitra continues to be the most polluted river in Slovakia.
We want to point out it has been our interventions, lack of understanding and negligence that led to this point - and also, that it can be our humility, respect and change of attitude that can make space for healing and regeneration.
Dancing has had a long tradition in the city of Prievidza and surrounding region, and there are several schools teaching diverse dance styles. We feel that the energy of the local community already invested in dancing can be beautifully transformed into and focused on the river and the care it needs.

“Rieka v nás" (River in us) is an initiative of wo~men who desire to embody and express the qualities of Water and wish to re~connect to the natural flow of life. We come to the shore to let our bodies and voices be moved and realign with our environment.
Following our individual and collective ceremonies held from 2020 at Danube river near Bratislava (Slovakia), we will continue and widen our creative discovery. With an event held at river Nitra in Prievidza (Slovakia), we will join the Global Water Dances to support each other in raising the tide of awareness.
We will bring together a group of dancers of various experience and background, with a connection to the region and/or interested in the qualities of Water and related issues.
We will visit together and/or independently various locations in the region in preparation of the Dance, starting at the river's springs in mountains, the natural meanders, as well as places of human interference and sources of pollution of the streams. We will soak in inspiration from the situations that we find in natural as well as urban millieu and their intersections.
We will held a preparatory circle in May 2025 where we will invite a wider group of participants, set collective intentions and prepare ourselves for the main event.
The main event in June 2025 will be held in local park through which the river flows, and where local public also has the best access to the body of the stream. We will make performance(s) of the Dance in different places in the park, as well as offer participatory activities, facilitated dance ceremony and create space for connection and sharing.
