Whether you’re up for a challenging hike or prefer a scenic lift ride, the journey is worth it. At 5,506′, you’ll find a laid-back bar with unbeatable views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, comfy Adirondack chairs, and a delicious wood-fired menu. Music fills the air every Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Preston Benfield Band brings a Southern Appalachian sound shaped by country roots, rock grit, and a touch of bluegrass soul. Hailing from Roan Mountain, Tennessee, Preston Benfield grew up immersed in music and started performing at a young age. Over the years, he teamed up with hometown musicians Jonathan Grindstaff (lead guitar), Drew Blackwell (bass), and Chase Blackwell (drums) to form a group built on chemistry and shared musical values. Together, they’ve crafted a style that’s raw, real, and rooted in tradition. Their shows feature a mix of heartfelt originals and crowd-pleasing covers, delivered with energy and honesty. The band continues to grow their following one genuine, no-frills performance at a time.
