Diss Town Council and the Royal British Legion invite residents to join this year’s Remembrance Sunday on Sunday 9th November. The community will gather for the annual parade, wreath-laying, and church service to honour those who gave their lives in service.
2:10pm: Remembrance Parade from Mere Street to Market Place. 35 organisations expected to take part- Most will peel off at the Market Place and take up their positions whilst the youth organisations, including the army & air cadets, continue up Market Hill, back down St Nicholas Street & to the Market Place.
2:30pm: Drumhead Service at the Market Place, with wreaths laid by special guests including Deputy Lieutenant Philippa Taylor and MP Adrian Ramsay.
3:00pm: A special remembrance service at St Mary’s Church. During this time, the wreaths will be transferred to the war memorial, where a short dedication will bring the afternoon to a close.

Note: Roads will be closed 2–3:30pm: Mere Street, Market Place, St Nicholas Street, Mount Street (between Saracens Head & Market Place), and Market Hill.
