Vincent In Brixton

The Corn Hall Diss is thrilled to welcome back 'Open Space' after their wonderful production of All My Son's by Arthur Miller in May earlier this year.

In 1873 the young Vincent Van Gogh rented a room in a suburb of London while he was being trained for a career in his family’s art dealership. Wright’s play traces the transforming effects of love, sex and youthful adventure on Van Gogh’s still undiscovered talent as a painter.

Vincent in Brixton was first performed at the National Theatre in April 2002, directed by Richard Eyre. It was winner of the 2003 Olivier Award for Best New Play.
