Join me for a big mountain day in the rugged heart of Snowdonia.
We'll take on one of the most rewarding circular routes in the Carneddau range — featuring a hands-on scramble, leg-burning climbs, exposed ridgelines, and some of the most commanding views in North Wales.

🏔️ THE ROUTE
We’ll begin with a scramble ascent up Pen Yr Ole Wen — a hands-on intro to scrambling. From there, we’ll stay high and traverse the ridge, ticking off:

Carnedd Dafydd
Carnedd Llewelyn (the second highest peak in Wales)
Pen Yr Helgi Du
This is a committing mountain day — a loop of around 16.4km (10.2 miles) with 1108m (3636ft) of elevation gain. Y
You'll need a decent base of fitness, a good head for heights, and confidence moving over rocky ground.
