This time a nourishing movement & breathwork therapy workshop to help release tension in the mind and body and restore balance to the nervous system.
This Thursday 25 September at 12.30pm. Please arrive 10 mins beforehand so that we can start on time.

All welcome! The class will be done seated with some standing movements.

A little more about the workshop:
A one-hour workshop of somatic yoga and mindful movements to help rebalance and restore the nervous and endocrine systems which can help to rewire your brain.
Tension and stress may be affecting the way you move or think, and somatic movements can help shift that. They are gentle, mindful, and fluid exercises that help release stored tension and trauma in your body, which professional therapists believe is stored in the nervous system. Over time, and with practice, these gentle exercises can help you to cope with stress, anxiety and fatigue, yet help build resilience, assist healing, and bring relief to some neurological issues as well as improving flexibility and sleep. Other physical symptoms include the lowering of the stress hormones, reduced high blood pressure, improved gut issues as well as strengthening the immune system. The list goes on!
The goal is not just to perform the exercise, but focus on how it feels physically, emotionally, and mentally, and sense and observe the body's response, building a deep mind-body connection.
I have been teaching, practising, and studying somatic movement for more than 20 years. Since then, it has become an essential part of my life, and I include parts in my yoga teaching.
Please let me know of any medical issues or concerns that you may have. All of the exercises will be done either standing or seated in a chair.
