The 6 day course run over 2 long weekends - 25 - 27 April and 3 - 5 May.
The Mountain Training Mountain Leader scheme is designed for people who want to lead groups in the mountains, hills and moorlands of the UK and Ireland. If you love being out in the mountains and want to share your enthusiasm with others, become a Mountain Leader and you’ll never look back (unless you’re checking your group’s still there!).
Snowdonia Walking and Climbing is an approved Provider of the Mountain Leader scheme training and assessment courses and runs them in Snowdonia throughout the year. Our instructors are all extremely experienced and active Mountaineering Instructors and Leaders.
This course will be run from Bethesda, Gwynedd and make use of the excellent Snowdonia mountains.
Course fee does not include accommodation, BMC* Membership or Mountain Training registration (£49 paid on registration to Mountain Leader scheme).
Candidates must also meet the course prerequisites - as detailed on the Mountain Training website.
(*membership of a home nation Mountaineering Club / Council is required for registration with the scheme - British Mountaineering Council, Mountaineering Scotland, Mountaineering Ireland)
Accommodation is available at Caban Cysgu bunkhouse, Bethesda, where the course will be based - £21 per night
