Darren is a legendary DJ and producer, born on April 30, 1971, in Hornchurch, Essex, England. He is known for his contributions to the world of electronic music, as member of the iconic techno group Underworld, and for his highly successful solo career.
Darren started his music career in the late 1980s, where he was introduced to acid house and the rave scene. In the early 1990s, he joined the group Underworld as DJ and producer. He played a crucial role in shaping the sound of 90's electronic dance music. Reinventing the band's sound and creating the template for their seminal albums
With Darren at the controls the group released a string of classic albums "dubnobasswithmyheadman “ .”Second Toughest in the Infants”, "Beaucoup Fish."�These remain all time classics in the dance music canon.
Darren left Underworld to focus on his solo career, which proved to be highly successful. He has released numerous successful albums and singles, including "Global Underground’s
Uruguay, Singapore, and Bogata albums.
Through his UNDERWATER label and Detone Compilations he continues to release cutting edge dance music.
Darren works on many projects including The White Lamp, HUFFA (Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun)), 3D with Dave Seaman & Danny Howells and plans a new live show with Gui Boratto.
Throughout his career Darren has remained at the forefront of the electronic music scene, continually pushing boundaries and exploring new sounds. His innovative approach to music production and his dynamic live performances have earned him a legion of fans and cemented his status as a true legend in the industry.�
