‘ความเป็นหญิง’ ที่เรารู้จัก — เกี่ยวข้องกับรูปลักษณ์ รูปทรง หรือความรู้สึกลึกในร่างกาย?
การเคลื่อนไหวของร่างกายที่เป็นหญิงนั้น ถูกกำหนดด้วยอะไร 🧐
หากปลดสิ่งเหล่านั้นออกไป — จะเหลือร่างกายแบบไหนที่ได้เคลื่อนไหวอย่างเสรี?

ในปี 2022 โครงการ “Vessel” เริ่มต้นขึ้นจากความต้องการตั้งคำถามถึงการถูกกดทับของ “ร่างกายหญิง” ในโลกปิตาธิปไตย 😠
ครั้งนั้นศิลปินร่วมทำงานกับผู้หญิงซิสเจนเดอร์เพื่อเรียนรู้ความฝังแน่นของความเชื่อที่กำหนดท่วงท่า และความรู้สึกผิดที่ซุกซ่อนในทุกการเคลื่อนไหวเพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของวัฒนธรรมและอคติที่หล่อหลอมการแสดงออกของร่างกาย

กลับมาอีกครั้ง พร้อมการเปิดพื้นที่ให้กว้างกว่าเดิม — โอบรับหญิงหลากรูปแบบ ไม่จำกัดเพศ ชนชั้น หรือประสบการณ์การเต้น
โครงการระยะเวลา 9 วันกับกระบวนการขุดรื้อความเป็นหญิงผ่านการเคลื่อนไหว
เพื่อให้ร่างกายแต่ละคนได้เล่าเรื่องของตนเอง
เพื่อคืนสิทธิ์ให้ร่างกายได้พูดโดยไม่มีการแปลความจากสายตาใคร
และเพื่อเฉลิมฉลอง ความเป็นหญิงในแบบของตัวเอง 🎉

How and to what extent does ‘femininity’ correlate to ‘female bodies’? Is it about appearance, shape, or something deeply felt within the body? 🧐
What determines the movements of ‘female bodies’? What norms or beliefs dictate how they should move?
And if we remove those influences—what kind of body would be left to move freely?
.
In 2022, the Vessel project began with a desire to question the systemic oppression of female bodies in a patriarchal world 😠. In that iteration, the artist collaborated with cisgender women to explore the deeply ingrained beliefs that shape movement, and the hidden guilt embedded in how the body behaves. It became a study of how culture and bias mold bodily expression.

Vessel Unbound returns, now opening up space more widely—embracing diverse forms of femininity, beyond the boundaries of gender, class, or dance experience. This 9-day process invites participants to dig into and deconstruct femininity through movement, to let their own bodies tell their own stories, to reclaim the right to speak through the body—without being interpreted by someone else’s gaze, and to celebrate femininity in their own terms. 🎉
