Level 1a is designed to provide participant with basic knowledge of wood - understanding wood physiology, avoiding borers like termites, understanding durability, grading, sawing & grain types, volume & pricing, wood varities & identification etc. Level 1 is prerequisite for all further levels.
The course instructor, Thatchineswaran T, is a graduate of Bachelors in Electrical engg and Masters in Geomatics engg, UNB. Worked as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
Been involved with research in wood science and wood products making since 2019. A self taught wood worker who believes in sustainability through knowledge.
