Curator's talk - 'Conserving Tintoretto, uncovering hidden histories'.

Join Property Curator Michelle Leake for a talk about conserving 'The Wise and Foolish Virgins' by the Venetian artist Jacopo Tintoretto, recently featured in series 3 of BBC Two’s Hidden Treasures of the National Trust.

International collaboration and deep technical analysis revealed new insights into the history of one of Upton’s most treasured paintings. As new findings emerged, so did ever more complex questions. Michelle will delve into the secrets behind the surface painting, as you enjoy intimate access to this rare example of Tintoretto's work.
