Walking the Wire: Improv at The Highwire Center!

Welcome to the wildest soft opening ever, the first shows at The Highwire Center!

You don't have to have seen Teams 1-19 in order to enjoy Saturday night's opening show at The Highwire Center. Team 20 brings together an all-star collection of students, teachers and performers for a one-time showcase of comedy. You won't want to miss what this group has been cooking up all summer!

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!

About the Venue:

The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
