The Velvet Couch Sessions: Session 1-Psyched!

The Velvet Couch Sessions is an intimate concert and conversation series that blends powerful live music with honest storytelling about mental health. Each session invites audiences onto “the velvet couch” to experience unfiltered performances and testimonies from artists who are often expected to put their own struggles aside in the name of “the show must go on.” Centering marginalized communities — including Black and Brown artists and LGBTQIA+ performers — the series shines a light on the unseen emotional labor of creating art while offering tools, resources, and hope for healing. The inaugural session, “Session 1: Psyched!”, premieres October 9, 2025 at The Club Car in Baltimore. Featuring four dynamic singers plus Bryan Daniels as headliner, it’s a night designed to move hearts, spark dialogue, and remind us all that artists are human, too.
