Kenyatta is a radiant fusion of the many musical voices of the African Diaspora—where jazz, soul, gospel, afrobeat, and beyond meet on one stage. Led by trumpeter and composer Cy, the band draws on his wide-ranging experience in African American musical traditions to create a sound that feels both deeply rooted and boldly forward-looking. Kenyatta has steadily grown into a vibrant gathering place for a devoted and expanding community of listeners, united by groove, improvisation, and shared joy. This performance is a celebration of unity and social music: a space where rhythms connect, melodies uplift, and the audience becomes part of the experience.
