Final Fridays: Chalk the Block - Whimsical Words

Unleash your inner creative and help transform Cathedral Street into an open-air gallery during Enoch Pratt Free Library's day-long chalk-the-block program!! This program invites artists of all ages and skill levels to engage, create, and make our world just a little bit brighter. Whether you are a professional muralist, hobbyist, or just looking for family fun, come join us for all-day activities at Pratt! Participants in the evening program will enjoy a festival-like atmosphere, with live music, interactive art activities, games, refreshments, and the opportunity to stroll through our "chalk gallery" and chat with local artists.

This year's theme is Whimsical Words. With this theme, we are encouraging artists to embrace the playful and imaginative side of language. We are seeking designs that evoke a sense of light-heartedness and wonder, where words come to life, centering storytelling, fantasy, quirky expressions, and perhaps a touch of magic.
