Earn 3.0 Category I CEUs in Supervision while deepening your understanding of inclusive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive social work practices.
Join presenters Jessie Pablo, MSW, LSW (Indiana Wesleyan University) and Bethany Wallace, MSW, LCSW (Portland State University) — Doctor of Social Work students at the University of Kentucky and practicum faculty — for an in-depth, practice-oriented training.
Using a relational framework, this workshop will examine how critical dialogue, motivational interviewing, and emotion-focused conversations can foster more inclusive, self-aware supervision. You’ll gain tools to:
-Understand and apply key concepts of relational theory
-Use motivational interviewing techniques to enrich the supervisory relationship
-Recognize and address trauma reenactment in supervision
-Disrupt power dynamics and implement anti-oppressive practices
-Thoughtfully integrate lived experience and self-disclosure
This training is ideal for social workers providing practicum or licensure supervision who want to build a more equitable, reflective, and empowering supervision experience.
