As we look ahead to the 2026 season, TJFNC would love for you to consider volunteering your time and skills to support our club. AGM Oct 6th 2025 6pm.
Our little club continues to grow across both Netball and Football, and with that growth comes the need for more helping hands. To keep building on our strong foundations, we rely on the participation of parents and guardians in roles that are vital to our success.
Many hands make light work – and a Mighty Club!
With the support and contributions of our volunteers, we can ensure TJFNC remains a welcoming, vibrant, and fun place for our kids and families.
2026 Volunteer Roles
Executive Committee
Fill executive roles:
President
Vice President – Football
Vice President – Netball
Secretary
Treasurer
Registrar
Assist with general admin tasks, policies, ordering, and league communications.
Support and oversee sub-teams/committees.
General Committee Team
Help shape the club’s direction by attending meetings and contributing ideas.
Meetings: monthly during the football season, bi-monthly in the off-season (attendance at every meeting is not required).
Minimum representation:
1 rep from each Netball division (5)
1 rep from each Football division (5)
The Club also invites 1 rep from Auskick and NetSetGo.
Marketing / Recruitment / Social Media Team
Distribute flyers to local schools inviting families to attend training, season launch, or registration day.
Target schools and age groups to help fill teams needing extra players.
Promote the club, sponsors, culture, and opportunities on social media.
Respond to direct messages (DMs).
Liaise with schools and other clubs to place ads in newsletters.
Fundraising / Social Events Team
Help plan and organise fundraising and community events such as:
Bunnings BBQs
Cadbury Chocolate drives
Club raffles
Kids’ disco
Trivia night
Bingo night
Club sausage sizzles
Merchandise / Uniform / Team Prep Team
Run uniform try-on sessions at registration day.
Assist families with uniform orders and distribution.
Prepare team bags, first aid kits, and certificates.
Support Team Managers in getting ready for the season.
Sponsorship Team
Approach local businesses in Tyabb, Somerville, and Hastings to invite sponsorship.
Contact local outlets for player match-day awards (e.g., McDonald’s, Hungry Jack’s, Domino’s, YOMG Mornington, Zambrero).
Plan and run our Sponsor Day event.
Arrange sponsor merchandise orders, certificates of appreciation, and goodwill donations (e.g., Woolworths, Coles).
Community Grants Team
Monitor available grants (e.g., Community Grants Hub, Telstra AFL Community Grants).
Generate ideas, prepare applications, and submit grants.
Share outcomes with the committee and President.
