WJ O’Donnell & Sons proudly announce The True Meaning of Christmas, a special community gathering taking place on Sunday 7th December 2025 at 7:00pm, held at the WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Home, 41–43 Mount Street, Ballymena.
This annual event is dedicated to honouring and remembering loved ones who have passed away — especially those lost within the last year. The evening offers families a quiet and meaningful space to reflect on the people who shaped their lives, and whose absence is felt most deeply during the Christmas season.
Guests will be welcomed with live performances from Una Magill, Sean Scullion and Carole Shivers, whose music will help set a reflective and uplifting atmosphere. Light refreshments will also be provided, with space for conversation, connection and shared memories.
At Christmastime, the empty chair at the table can feel especially heavy. This gathering provides a moment to pause, breathe, and acknowledge the true meaning of the season — compassion, remembrance, togetherness and the enduring strength of community.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Cruse Bereavement Support, whose dedicated counsellors and volunteers provide essential help to individuals and families coping with grief.
