Lila Tirando a Violeta

In 2025 Bandcamp described Lila Tirando a Violeta (Camilia Dominguez) ‘as one of the greats of modern electronic music’ ; her 2025 album Dream of Snakes as a ‘masterpiece’.

Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay and now living in Waterford, she blends Latin influenced Detroit techno; industrial;club sounds; IDM; sci-fi influences and field recordings to thrilling effect.

She has performed at some of the world’s best electronic music festivals including Unsound, LEV, Rewire, Mutek, Boiler Room and Primavera.

Her albums have appeared on acclaimed Mexican club label N.A.A.F.I; Berlin’s Unguarded label and Hyperdub Records, home to Burial, Lorraine James, The Bug, Kode9, Laurel Halo.

Joe Muggs (The Wire, Guardian) named Accela his 2023 ‘Album of The Year’.

Her 2020 album Limerencia also received widespread acclaim.

Of her latest album Dream of Snakes (2025), she says:
