169th Anniversary of the Battle of Black Jack

The 169th Anniversary of the June 2, 1856, battle will be commemorated with various activities that are still being planned.

THERE WILL NOT BE A REENACTMENT OF THE BATTLE.

The 3rd Kansas Light Artillery are scheduled to bring their cannon to give firing demonstrations throughout the day.

There will be a guided battlefield tour at 2:00 in the afternoon led by reenactors. There will be other reenactors camped on site who will conduct living history demonstrations. Other activities will be added here as they are finalized.

The start and ending times noted in this posting could change, so please come back to check for the new and revised information before June 7th.

There WILL BE toilet facilities available on site.

The activities are free and open to the public.
