Storytime at the Park series - BZP (BZP Bakersfield)

The Storytime at the Park Series is a collaborative effort between Blue Zones Project Bakersfield, Kern Literacy Council, 3G Activities, Children First, Love From Above, and CAPK, aimed at promoting literacy and community engagement.

Hosted at Saunders Park, David Nelson Pocket Park, Patriots Park, and Heritage Park, this initiative provides children with free books and interactive activities designed around the stories being read.

With guest readers and hands-on experiences, the program also incorporates Blue Zones Power 9 principles, encouraging movement, social connection, and lifelong learning. By creating an accessible and engaging literacy experience, the Storytime At The Park Series fosters a love for reading while strengthening community ties.
