Bakersfield Bulky Waste Collection Event

Looking to dispose of your unwanted household items? Residents can bring tires without rims, home appliances, furniture, and more to this free event!

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Kern County Public Works, in partnership with Cesar Chavez Environmental Corps, Varner Bros., Inc., Price Disposal, Howard’s Garbage Service, Inc., and Superior Sanitation Service, Inc., will be hosting a FREE Bulky Waste Collection Event from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at three locations:

Meadows Field Int’l Terminal: 1229 Skyway Drive
Kern Medical Hospital: 1700 Mt. Vernon Avenue (Flower Street Parking Lot)
Kern County Fairgrounds: 1142 South P Street
