About the event

The History of Local Creek Indians from early to mid 1800's
Chief Helms and others from the Santa Rosa Band of Lower Muscogee will be speaking about the history of the local Creek Indians from the 1800-1840/50's. They will discuss the culture, militia activity and the role of the Yellow River and Yellow River Baptist Church in their history. They will also be dressed in native attire from that period.
