Monotype is an exciting and immediate form of printmaking using a plexiglass or other plate to transfer an image to paper. A one of a kind image is applied directly to the surface of the plate and then printed with a press or by hand. Collagraph relief printing is a similiar process, printing directly from a plate, but the plate is made with layers of applied cardboard. With collagraph the handmade plate can be used multiple times for production printing. Instructor Ann Mehaffy
