FREE PRESENTATION BY FIDDLER STAN CHAPMAN

Kick-off Celtic Colours early with a talk by renowned fiddler, Stan Chapman, Wednesday, October 8 at 7PM at Baile nan Gàidheal (Highland Village Museum) in Iona.

For more than fifty years, Stan Chapman has been a household name in the world of Cape Breton fiddling. As a music teacher and fiddler, he has travelled widely and taught some of the best-known exponents of the local tradition today, including Ashley MacIsaac and Natalie MacMaster. In this talk, Chapman will reflect on his life in music and share his insights on the continued evolution of the local fiddling tradition.

Admission is free and a tea will be served.
