The 2025 Titan Pinball Championship

The DFW Pinball League presents its Eighth event for 2025 with ANOTHER massive event.

This will be the TITAN PINBALL CHAMPIONSHIP in Azle, Texas!
We anticipate a prize pool between $6000 and $9000 (exact number not yet determined) thanks to Titan Pinball's AMAZING generosity!

The tournament will also have a 200% TGP value and should be an IFPA CERTIFIED PLUS EVENT (Certified PLUS tournaments receive an Event Booster of 150% if there are 128 or more rated players - otherwise the booster would be 125%).

All games for this event will be coming from PRIVATE collections and NO COIN DROPS will be needed!

PLEASE NOTE:
Event is limited to 160 PARTICIPANTS that will be split into TWO (2) groups of 80.
Groups are based on when you will be qualifying - there is an AM group and a PM group.
REGISTRATION AND PREPAYMENT ARE REQUIRED --
Registration opens on TUESDAY APRIL 1, 2025 and 7:00 PM Central Time via Eventbrite.

COST, WAITLIST AND REFUND TERMS:

Cost is $50 per person plus Eventbrite platform fees!
This does NOT include the Warmup Tournament.

Warmup Tournament is $10 Cash Only at the door on THURSDAY MAY 29 at 6:00 PM.

We will have a BBQ Caterer / Food Truck there. Food is not included so you will pay for food separately. (More Detail and Menu Link later in this post)

Refunds will be offered through Eventbrite until 14 Days prior to the event.
No refunds will be issued for any reason after that date.

If you are added to the waitlist and a spot comes open, you must respond to the Eventbrite notification within 36 hours. Otherwise the spot will "Expire" and be offered to the next person on the waitlist.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND DETAIL for EACH Tournament:

***** FOR BOTH TOURNAMENTS - THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE WARMUP - PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE OUTSIDE OF THE PUBLISHED PRACTICE TIMES AND NO PLAYING GAMES BETWEEN ROUNDS *****

Warmup Tournament is a Max Matchplay Tournament being run on site by Carpool Pinball!
Finals for the Warmup Tournament will be an Amazing Race format tournament.

THE TITAN PINBALL CHAMIONSHIP:
QUALIFYING is a Group Matchplay tournament on Friday and Saturday (both days are required).
There will be two groups -> the 9:30 AM group and the 5:00 PM group
Each group will play at the same time on both days.
There will be 10 rounds with 2 games per round.

FINALS is a Group Elimination/PAPA Style tournament, which is similar to the above, but with lower performing players being eliminated as we go forward (until there's a winner).

The top 16 players from EACH group with make it to the A Finals, for 32 total players.
This WILL affect final standings.
The next 16 players from each group will make it to the B finals. B Division playoffs is playing for money - they do NOT affect final standings (as per published IFPA rules).

The B Division is restricted as follows for this event:

No one in the top 1000 in the IFPA as of 3/1/2025 may play in the B Division -- so many of the top players are excluded from the B Division so that ANYONE CAN WIN!

There will NOT be a KIDZ FINAL / kids tournament at this event.

FOOD AND DRINK:
We have arranged for a BBQ Food Truck / Caterer who is local to AZLE, TEXAS and is very highly rated on multiple services.

You can also BRING YOUR OWN (BYO) for other food and drink items that you want.

There are only two close sit-down restaurants, one Italian and one Mexican, and both serve alcohol as well.

PINBURGH TICKETS:
We have TWO Pinburgh tickets - They will be awarded as follows:

• Everyone will have a chance to win the PINBURGH GOLDEN TICKET. There will be a weighted raffle for the ticket.
  All players will get 1 entry into the raffle.
  All players who play in the playoffs (A & B) will get another entry into the raffle.
  All players in the A playoffs will get a third entry into the raffle.
  
• Our TITAN PINBALL Bank Sponsor ticket will be given to the WINNER of the tournament!
  
• Neither ticket is transferrable. For both tickets, the winner(s) will have options that Louis Marx can cover with them at the end of the tournament.
  
• Need not be present to win when we conduct the drawing on Sunday - We recognize that only a limited number of people will be present for the playoffs. So you CAN win without being there! Just make sure that Louis Marx has a good way to contact you.
  

PRIZE MONEY:
TITAN PINBALL is generously giving us $2000in cash to give away.

ALSO, we are giving away as MUCH of the entry fees as possible (after expenses).
Since I've never run an event like this, I'm not sure what that will look. However, my best guess is that the prize pool will be between $6,000 and $9,000.
Subject to change if needed, I intend to payout to 16 players in the A division.
Subject to change if needed, I intend to payout to 8 players in the B division.
