"The Wrights"

Join the Aylmer Heritage Association's upcoming event, "The Wrights," presented by Richard Henderson, a local historian and direct descendant of Philemon Wright. Philemon Wright arrived with a small group of pioneers to settle the area 225 years ago in 1800.

An animated speaker, Richard will trace the early settlement of the region; the settlers’ lifeline (the Ottawa River and the portage trail that became the Aylmer Road); and the lives of those whose efforts laid the foundation for the thriving city of Gatineau today. Two separate talks will be offered, in French and in English.

Pre-registration by name is required.
