What is Tellington TTouch Training?
Tellington TTouch Training (TTouch) is as a forward-thinking approach to training, handling, and rehabilitation. The system promotes physical, mental, and emotional balance helping animals adapt to the stressful world around them. It is a kind and empathic way of working without force, fear, or the use of harsh equipment.
TTouch, has a proven track record of helping animals with many issues including: noise phobia, stress, aggression, hyperactivity, fear of being handled, concentration and confidence issues, performance issues, separation anxiety and many more. It is easy to learn and simple to apply.
About the workshop
In this 2-hour taster workshop you will learn how to look at your dog in a different way, to really observe subtle postural changes and find out how that affects their behaviour or performance. You will learn some of the special TTouches (specific ways of moving the skin, which release tension from the body helping the posture improve), as well as some of the equipment we use to promote change.
Who would benefit from attending?
Trainers, behaviourists, veterinary staff, owners, and handlers who compete with their dogs, dog walkers and groomers, in fact anyone involved with dogs. Your dog does not have to have an issue for you to benefit from attending and learning more about this unique training method.
NB: This workshop is open to any age or breed of dog. Dogs attending must be happy to be in a room with other dogs and people and be vocally unobtrusive. If you think your dog would struggle in this environment, not a problem, book a spectators space instead.
Cost includes handouts.
A small amount of equipment will be available for you to purchase on the day.
