Bread is at the heart of River Cottage, and this hands on course is one of our most loved experiences. Spend the day learning to bake a wide range of breads, guided by our expert chefs in the River Cottage cookery school.

Your day begins by mastering our signature farmhouse loaf, the cornerstone of River Cottage baking. From there, you will explore an exciting variety of doughs and techniques. Learn how to make pillowy focaccia, mix your own pizza dough for a wood fired lunch, and try your hand at sweet breads including cinnamon doughnuts and rich chocolate brioche. You will also bake a quick and reliable soda bread, perfect for teatime at home.

This course goes beyond recipes. It will transform the way you think about bread. With a mix of practical skills, inspiration, and expert tips, you will leave with the knowledge and confidence to bake fresh bread from scratch, every time.
