Crook Peak and Wavering Down 5 mile Sunset walk (05/07/2025)

A gorgeous hilly 5mile walk to catch a sunset from the top of Crook Peak.

The walk starts at 7:15pm with a steep climb up Wavering Down to the Trig Point there.
We then walk across the saddle of hills to the top of Crook Peak stopping to catch the Sunset at 9:29pm.

After sunset, we walk down Crook Peak and through the village of Compton Bishop, across fields and then back at the cars for about 11pm, Hopefully having clear skies for stargazing for the final parts of the walk.

This walk has the potential of cattle during the walk. So, again not suitable for dogs.
