Purpose:
Provide a weekly altar of community-wide worship & prayer focused on and around the Presence of the Lord; elevating the name of Jesus over the atmosphere, in order to see Him bring about His Kingdom reign over the region, as He establishes His throne & dominion upon the praises of His people.
Premise:
It is God’s heart to dwell with His people, and our inheritance to dwell with Him.
John 1:14- “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory…”
Revelation 21:3- “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”
How:
As Jesus taught His disciples to pray to the Father, proclaiming the holiness of His name, asking His Kingdom to come and His will to be done ON EARTH (now) as it already is in heaven;
thus exercising our governing/dominion mandate as we proclaim the Lord and his attributes.
For when we praise Him, He is enthroned, and where He is enthroned, He is King and He reigns. His Kingdom Come. -Luke 11, Matt 6, Gen 1:28, Matt 16:18, Psalm 22:3
Pattern:
Centered around the Presence of God, in the pattern of the Tabernacle of David, which instituted 24-7 ministry to the Lord. NOT to the Body. Musicians & priests were hired to minister to the Lord, day and night, in the pattern of the throne room to come, (see Revelation), where everything revolves around His throne. Amos prophesied, and later James referenced, the Lord’s INTENT to rebuild David’s Tabernacle. And we, as the royal priesthood, get to be part of rebuilding this: for His namesake. -1 Sam 13:14, Revelation, Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16, 1 Peter 2:9
What to expect:
Two hours are allotted as an open, come-and-go, worshipful space– where the atmosphere and culture is free, open, focused on Jesus, pursues the Father’s heart, and where musical worship is continually offered up before the Lord. So, come for a half an hour before work/school, or stay for the entire morning!
All worship, prayer, and outward expressions glorify and honor the Lord: not man. Whatever happens around the throneroom in heaven is welcome! There will be times of musical worship, instrumental worship, prayer, and scripture interspersed throughout, led by a worship leader and room leader.
Song lyrics are not displayed, to allow for more focus and meditation on the Lord, and not on a screen. There will be a mix of familiar songs, yet also different, easy, repeated choruses– which become corporate songs of prayer.
Worshipers (you) are invited to worship and experience the Lord in the manner you best connect with Him! You can: sit, stand, kneel, walk in the back or to the sides, journal, sing, not sing, listen, read the word, pray on your own, pray quietly with someone in the back, etc., for as little or as much time as you have that morning. Yet we ask you to do so in a manner that does not distract others from the flow of the morning. All things done in love for others! – Lev 19:18, 1 Cor 13, Eph 4:3
Values:
FOCUS is on Jesus and His Kingdom reign, declaring the truth of what the word says about the Lord and His ways: His nature, power, ability, and His heart.
OUR AUTHORITY: doing this as a form of governing intercession, declaring Him/His kingdom over peoples and the region.
CORPORATE: Agreeing and coming together as the Body of Christ, His representative ekklesia (church) on earth, and showing the world unity is possible in Christ alone.
HONOR: We honor the Lord, each other, and the word. We honor the Leadership (and the directions it sets) as those stewarding the Lord’s heart for the meeting.
We honor the moment: whether the moment calls for quiet reflection, musical praise, the reading of the word…we stay aligned with the moment and do not attempt to personally steer the direction in a way that causes division/disruption.
What an honor to be able to lift up the name of Jesus together as the Body of Christ over Hendricks Co., Indiana! We are expectant that Jesus will receive the reward of His suffering– and through His goodness, His fire, and His transforming love, He will reign; and of the increase of His government and His peace THERE WILL BE NO END (Isaiah 9:7). Hallelujah!
