This summer we are offering art classes for residents 10-15 years of age. We have 7 sessions to offer using various techniques of drawing, painting, and collage as listed below. Each session is $25.00 for residents and $30 for non-residents and you can register for as many sessions as you like. Once registered you just need to show up and let your creativity run wild. All materials provided.

Week 1: June 17 Air Dry Clay Seed Mosaics
Students will learn how to create a slab project with air-dry clay embellished with a mosaic design.
Week 2: June 24 Wave Yarn Painting Workshop/ Painted rocks
After creating thumbnail sketches of various patterns, students will choose their favorite design and create a yarn painting. While the underpainting is drying, students will paint rocks.
Week 3: July 1 Rippled Flag Drawing
Participants will follow directions to create a drawing in marker and crayon that uses contour lines and shading to create the illusion of a billowing flag.
Week 4 July 8: Pressed Flower Art
Students will create original pressed flower art that they can later frame.
Week 5: July 15 Ted Harrison Landscape Paint Party
After learning about Canadian artist, Ted Harrison and his style of painting as well as color combinations using color wheels, students will paint their chosen pre-drawn landscapes in a flowing and bold style.
Week 6: July 22 Under the Sea Silhouette Art
Students will study aquatic animals and use templates to create a one-of-a-kind sea life artwork.
Week 7: July 29 Driftwood Wind Chimes
Students will create their own driftwood wind chimes to enjoy in this one-day workshop.
