Trek the Trestle Labor Day Walk

Every year, St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Commission hosts the annual Trek the Trestle Walk on the Wadhams to Avoca Trail. The walk coincides with the bigger Labor Day Walk that takes place every year on the Mackinac Bridge. As part of the event, participants cross the 640 ft. Mill Creek trestle bridge, the longest bridge of its kind in the State of Michigan!

Join us as we walk from the Avoca trailhead, across the trestle for an exhilarating view to the Imlay City trailhead, and back (5 miles in total).

Meet at the Avoca trailhead (M-136) in downtown Avoca. Walk begins at 9:00 AM Sharp! After the walk Michigan made food products will be available with donation. Proceeds will benefit the United of St. Clair County.

Parking is available at the trailhead, across from the Kenockee Twp. Fire Dept. Use 8815 Main St, Avoca, MI 48006-7707 for GPS coordinates. For more information, contact St. Clair County Parks office at (810) 989-6960.
