I have a special and rare feature to offer for our next program. We (that means you, too) just inherited a TON of basket material for our next program.
This material came at a cost, however, and the way you have to take from a living thing is what makes this next class so special.
A fifty year-old white pine I drive past every day was cut down to make room for apartments.
Its branches were left behind, so like anything in life, I made the best of the situation and gave thanks for the gift and the chance to sure it with others.
Now, I can share it with you.
This next Botany in a Year program will feature making bark baskets, as well as acorn flour, and of course, a chance to work on your cordage and friction fire kits.
Specific location will be announced soon.
