Our fully inter-generational show runs from 7pm - 9.30pm drawing out the storytelling, music, poetry and song of the area, and features an invited guest to share about their work in the arts, heritage, ecology or adventure spheres. From 2025, a special addition to the shows will be the displaying of visual art and photography, curated by Aila Shafer.
Tuesday 13th May, 2025
7pm - 9.30pm (Doors open at 6.30pm, no earlier please)
Theme: ACROSS THE SEA
Inspired by our featured guest, Spanish piper and whistle player Ruben Jaramplas, who will share about his interest in the connections between Scottish and Galician musical traditions in a fascinating exploration of the historical and cultural links across the waters.
ACROSS THE SEA: waves, wanderers & wide horizons; exploration, emigration or exile; cultural exchange & Celtic Connections
This guides the contributions from our performers but remember: we love seeing all the different ways people respond to this starting point.
As ever, you are welcome to contribute your favourite stories or songs, on theme, or you can just relax and listen.
Contributions from all ages are welcome and each show is preceded by a Stagecraft Session for young people, an interactive, drop-in practice session from 5.45pm-6.45pm.
