Father's Day Fishing Event

Get ready to reel in some excitement this Father's Day weekend! The whole family is invited to a FREE fishing event at Yeager Pond in Austintown Township Park. A child's first fishing trip with a grandparent or parent can create lasting memories. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on outdoor skills and a love for nature to future generations. This program is designed to introduce kids to the basics of fishing. This event is made possible by the Step Outside Grant, provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. No fishing license is needed since this event is during Ohio's annual Free Fishing Days.

WHO: Family-friendly. All ages are welcome!

WHEN: June 14th, 2025 @ 10 AM -1 PM

WHERE: Meet at Yeager Pond in Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Rd. Once you enter the park, take the road left. Park near Paul Pogany Pavilion. See map.

DETAILS: We will provide fishing poles and bait for the children, but you are welcome to bring your own poles.

FEE: Free! Thanks to the Step Outside Grant, provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program.
