Communism was defeated in 1989, according to many. Yet, despite the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union two years later, communism remains a threat to America, Americans, and the free world well into the 21st century. Sadly, many of our children are not taught about the evils of communism and the death and destruction that it entails, and so they find themselves swayed by the utopian promises of modern communists and socialists.
We must equip our children with the knowledge of how communism has not only failed to live up to its promises, but cost tens of millions of people their lives—from the Soviet Union to China to Cambodia, time and time again, the legacy of communism is death. Our children must learn this legacy. Luckily for Texas, the Legislature saw the need for our students to be taught about the history of communism and passed SB 24, which ensures that our students learn the history of communism societies and the ills that they have brought forth.
Join us at TPPF HQ for a discussion on how Texas should implement SB 24 to ensure that our students learn about the horrors that communism spawned so that they may avoid them in the future.
Complimentary lunch will be provided for in-person attendees, and you are also welcome to register for a livestream ticket and tune in online.
