The Belle Sounds are back after a little break in performing to celebrate a new single, "THE UPSIDE DOWN" and are thrilled to have their drummer Danny’s project, Drifting Pixels opening the night to celebrate his new EP, LIGHT AS A FEATHER.
Austin’s Synth-Pop quintet The Belle Sounds have become known for their lush synth sounds, gorgeous guitar work by André Moran, addictive ear candy hooks and signature vocal harmonies from lead singer Noëlle Hampton, fellow keyboardist Emily Shirley and bassist Gregory Hagen, all driven by Danny Piccuirro on drums and samples.
Drifting Pixels is a musical project primarily consisting of Austin, Texas-based songwriter, producer, and drummer Danny Piccuirro.
Piccuirro is responsible for the songwriting, production, and often the drumming on Drifting Pixels' tracks. The music is characterized by a blend of samples, distinctive production techniques, infectious loops and beats, and explorations of esoteric themes. While Drifting Pixels functions primarily as a solo project, Piccuirro's latest EP release, "Light as a Feather", features collaborations with Noelle Hampton and Andre Moran of "The Belle Sounds", Meggan Carney of "Zettajoule" and Aaron Jordan of "Papershapes".
His 2020 self-titled debut EP included "Everything's A OK", which gained airplay on KUTX and was included in a compilation album titled "LOST X LOST WEST, Vol. One presented by Zettajoule released via Atomic Milk Records.
