Austin’s Sonic Transmissions Festival returns September 11-14, 2025, bringing together cutting-edge sounds from Texas, Chicago, New York, Cairo, Amsterdam, and Norway. Spanning multiple venues, this year’s festival showcases radical artists pushing the limits of jazz, rock, folk, experimental, and global traditions. With Day 1 (Thursday 9.11) and Day 2 (Friday 9.12) co-presented by Austin’s essential experimental music organization, Epistrophy Arts, the 2025 edition highlights fearless creative voices with the rallying cry: “SHAKE YOUR APATHY!”
