Opun Mic & Improv - Theme: HALLOWEEN

OPUN MIC NIGHT is a gathering of curious minds to wordplay, improv, write, share creative work, and meet new people in a casual, 'low-stakes' environment.

This free community event is about having fun, not (necessarily) being funny!

Our THEME for October is Halloween--or more specifically, Hello-weird ...

Maybe you make like the ghost of Matthew McConaughey in "Dazed and Confused" and wear "all white, all white, all white."

Perhaps you donn a hot pink apron and blonde wig as a brisket-braising Barbie-Q.

Or how 'bout you dress as a saintly nun with roller skates as a Holy Roller Derby girl?

Puns, outfits, and work shared on theme are always encouraged and not required.

There are 3 Phases to the evening -- show up for one or all!

Info: Warm up facilitated group improv exercises that allow you to try out some wordplay games that may include learning names, rhyming, and puns.

Info: We'll give you an optional writing prompt to get your creativity flowin' with some lowfi tunes to set the mood. (Bring a notebook and pen or laptop!)

Info: Share what you wrote, a comedy bit, poem, or short performance.
