Jess Klein came to this world to pull firebrand power and childlike joy from our darkest shadows. Her acoustic-driven, hook-laden story songs revel in the polychrome of human experience - joy, rage, sensuality and resilience. The New York Times calls her “A songwriter with a voice of unblinking tenacity.”
At age 44, Wes Collins and his wife Anita made a pact to become writers: she started writing fiction and Wes penned his first song. A few years later, they were both multi-award-winners in their fields. Come to Wes’s songs for a haunting melody and some intricate fingerpicking and stay for the wit and deep literary intelligence.
Friends and now neighbors in North Carolina, a Jess & Wes performance is something between a song-swap and a duo, digging deep and taking you to some weird and interesting places. Look forward to a night of bulletproof songs, tight harmonies and masterful guitar work from two accomplished artists.
