HOLODOMOR Commemoration Event by UNWLA in Texas State Capitol

What: Holodomor rememberance
When: Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM
Where: inside Texas State Capitol, Austin, TX

The Holodomor, a man-made famine that devastated Ukraine in 1932-1933, claimed millions of innocent lives. Our event will honor and remember these victims through a solemn ceremony that includes a performance by singer Oleksandra Pelitu with choir led by Steven Tyler and young singer Catherine Krymer. For visual part we are planning to showcase art by incredibly talanted Ukrainian artists Yana Nikutina and 3D art by Iryna Lishchynska.
The first part of the event will be held in Capitol Rotunda at Noon and after, at 1pm all guests will be welcomed to gallery in Capitol (Legislative Conference Centeron the floor -1) to further exhibition.
