Join us Thursday, May 8 at 7PM at dadaLab for a vibrant evening of arts, conversation, and inspiration! We're gathering to celebrate the boundary-pushing work of five extraordinary artists whose practices span performance, immersive media, activism, and radical storytelling.

🎨 Meet the Artists:

✨ Ty Defoe
A Grammy Award-winning Two-Spirit IndigiQueer artist from the Oneida and Ojibwe Nations, Ty blends Indigenous tradition with contemporary performance. His work explores identity, land, and justice through storytelling, dance, and theater.

✨ Katherine Freer
Multimedia artist, filmmaker, and educator, Kate uses image, code, archival material, and projection to reveal unseen narratives. Her work bridges the live arts with civic engagement, ethics, and social transformation.

✨ Jiabao Li
An internationally acclaimed artist, Jiabao’s work spans AR/VR, robotics, and performance to address climate change, interspecies co-creation, and the future of humane technology. She is a professor at UT Austin and a Fellow at Ars Electronica.

✨ Chandrika Metivier
A non-binary artist of Haitian, Native, and Mexican descent, Chandrika’s powerful installations and performances navigate themes of radicalism, identity, and discrimination.

✨ Kyle Evans
A new media artist and educator exploring the beauty of glitch, failure, and digital artifacts. Kyle co-founded dadaLab and teaches Immersive Media at UT Austin, where he merges art and tech in groundbreaking ways.
