Documentary Screening and Discussion with SNL Writer Tim Herlihy

Join us at the Paramount Theatre for a screening of "Written By: A Week Inside the SNL Writer’s Room," from the Peacock Series SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night (2025), with a post-screening discussion with SNL writer, Tim Herlihy.

Tim Herlihy has written or co-written the feature films Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, Big Daddy, Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, Bedtime Stories, Grown Ups 2, Pixels, The Ridiculous Six, and Hubie Halloween. He has also served as a producer or executive producer on eighteen films, including the upcoming release Roommates. Herlihy was previously a writer, head writer, and ultimately a producer of the television variety series Saturday Night Live. He was nominated for a Tony Award® for the Broadway musical version of The Wedding Singer, which he co-wrote. Herlihy also co-wrote, produced, and appears in Happy Gilmore 2, which was released on Netflix in July 2025.

This program is free and open to the public. Austin Film Festival badge and film pass holders will have priority access.
