Dizzy Gillespie transformed American music. He was a pioneer and a force of nature. Through his life, lyrical storytelling, subversive humor, and transcendent music-making, we will address important contemporary topics of the United States and our world. Live from the historic Cactus Cafe: 2247 Guadalupe St, in the Texas Union. Doors open at 7:00 pm; music begins @ 7:30 pm. An evening with no admission fee. Arrive early to guarantee a seat. All are welcome.
