✨About Varun Grover
Varun Grover is a celebrated screenwriter, director, stand-up comedian, and lyricist based in Mumbai.
-His debut feature as a screenwriter, Masaan (2015), premiered at the Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard) and won the FIPRESCI Jury Prize and Promising Future Prize.
-He was the lead writer and Executive Producer of Netflix India’s groundbreaking original series Sacred Games (2018–2019).
-As a director, he began with the short film KISS, a witty critique of India’s censor board system.
-His first feature as a director, All India Rank (2023), premiered as the Closing Film at IFFR 2023 and is now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
