More About the Artists:
Michael Bruner is a media artist, interactive designer, teacher and vegetable gardener fascinated by living systems. From growing plants to making generative video – these systems are full of emergent properties made visible through feedback with self and environment. Connecting these principles into creative processes is central to Michael’s work. Michael is currently an Instructional Assistant Professor in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts at Texas A&M University teaching interactive media and design.
Lisa Anne Kobdish is a modern dance artist who values collaboration and high-energy performance. She earned a BFA in Dance from UT Austin, before moving to London to tour with Transitions Dance Company and complete an MA in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. After time abroad Lisa settled in Brooklyn, NY, to pursue a creative life—developing dance theater ensemble work with Romulus NYC and social justice dance films with Semillas Dance Collective, and performing with acclaimed Kristin Sudeikis Dance and Depth Dance.Upon returning to Austin in 2016, Lisa joined Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company and took on roles with Austin Dance Festival, including Co-Producer for “Dance on Film”. She continues to perform and collaborate with celebrated artists like Blue Lapis Light, BLiPSWiTCH, Ventana Ballet, Ty&Co, and co-produces with Dance Carousel.

Jiabao Li is an internationally acclaimed artist, Jiabao’s work spans wearable, robot, AR/VR, performance, scientific experiment, and installation to address climate change, interspecies co-creation, humane technology, and perceptions. Her lab explores the intersection of art, design, technology, and biology. She is an assistant professor at UT Austin and a Fellow at Ars Electronica Founding Lab for shaping the new Interdisciplinary Transformation University. Manu Prakash is an Associate Professor of Bioengineering, Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment and Associate Professor, by courtesy, of Oceans and of Biology. We use interdisciplinary approaches including theory and experiments to understand how computation is embodied in biological matter. Broadly, we invent new tools for studying non-model organisms with significant focus on life in the ocean - addressing fundamental questions such as how do cells sense pressure or gravity?
Brandon Stargrave is a creative technologist focused on generative, interactive, and audiovisual immersive experiences. David Sydiongco is a new media artist based in Austin, TX. His work focuses on exploring the emotional narrative of music and sound through real-time generative design. He draws inspiration from the surreal beauty found in both natural and synthetic spaces. James Talambas is a multi-disciplinary new media artist, composer, producer, and activist who creates site-specific, multi-dimensional, multi-sensory sculptures, murals, and performances. Endeavoring to collaborate and share knowledge, guided by passion for sound and creativity. Drawing from technology, collaboration, visceral improvisation, and the architectural space of each individual work, he creates art that is personal, emotive, and immersive. Talambas is the founder of New Media Contemporary, a gallery, studio, and research space located in Dallas, TX, founded to promote interdisciplinary work and collaborate with musicians and artists working in technology or the avant-garde. Talambas has collaborated with and helped produce the work of many other notable artists’ work including, Ellen Fullman, Marina Rosenfeld, Christine Sun Kim, Egill Sabjörnsson, Gingger Shankar, Dallas Street Choir, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Opera, Contemporary Dance Fort Worth, Half Japanese, Mandy Patinkin, Nelly Furtado, N'Dambi, Theodore Bikel, AM Ballet Folklorico. https://talambas.io/
Will Tallent is a sound designer, composer, visual artist and performer from Dripping Springs, Texas. He began his musical journey at a young age, later developing a deep interest in sound design and composition. Since 2018, he has worked professionally on art installations, VR experiences, and games, contributing to projects across both the commercial and experimental realms. Creating immersive audiovisual installations, Will uses custom-made sound design and visuals driven by live audio and environmental sensor data. His approach is rooted in the ambient, rhythmic, melodic, and hypnotic qualities of the natural world, treating music as both a mirror to lived experience and a portal to a shared field of consciousness. He also self-releases music under the name Silk Screen.
