Nostalgic Expressions

Coming up with "Nostalgic Expressions" where we invite you all to explore the layered realities of first-generation Nepali artists in the United States.
Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and visual storytelling, these artists share their personal and collective journeys of navigating life in-between—between a homeland left behind and a new land still in the making.
This exhibit reminds us: belonging is built, not assumed. It grows from intentional connection, cultural celebration, and creating spaces that are accessible to all.

This exhibition is the culmination of the research on Nepali Diaspora Artists conducted by Swosti Rajbhandari Kayastha as a Fullbright Visiting Scholar 2024-25 with the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco.
